Yesterday, after a hectic day of talks and events at SL9B, I relaxed at the end of the day by taking a podcar ride with a friend. And we did stop of several times: the Herdthinners pub on Hoedown, so that I could introduce him to the world of Kevin and Kell – and take a picture of Tara Yates’ beautiful Lotus Flowers (and bunnies) at the same time (for today’s Prim Perfect jigsaw); Loki Eliot’s wonderful School Project onKittyCatS SL9B Birthday Bash – which gives us all excellent reasons to love the poor old Lindens; and finally ending up at a very awesome roller coaster created by Takni Miklos and Apollosmile Resident on Jamboree – there are some other amazing fairground rides opposite at Jahman Och’s Pando Carnival and Amusement Park, but I decided that my stomach wouldn’t take it so late in the day/early in the morning!

These were just a few random places that caught my eye as I travelled – but it occurred to me that this really is the best of Second Life, created by the most wonderful community coming together and working to create something awesome, something that we can cherish and remember. Sometimes, when it seems that the main pulic conversations about Second Life are about negativity, it’s good to walk around the twenty sims and see what we can achieve.
So … here are some more pictures from the Flickr group to enjoy (and, with the final weekend coming up, to go and visit too).
First of all, a wonderful view of the Train that is part of the amazing Lotus Stage, created by Dogpatchy Dagostino and here photographed by Spanki Moulliez.

Next, an exhibit by Schism Productions in KittyCatS SL9B BirthdayBash, photographed by Ami Tamura:

And now, from the Safe Water Foundation on the Gala sim, Mermaids Danicing. As Serafin Galli, the photographer says:

No sharks here … just nice relaxing music and a lot of talking about the life undersea

The next few images are lovely – but don’t come with exhibit or name information. If you are of the persuasion that needs all your photos tagged so that you can go and visit them, look away now. The rest of you … enjoy – and then get out on the sims and go and see if you can find them!
